Is bright red nail varnish acceptable for a 15 year old girl?

My dad has just said its unacceptable.Is bright red nail varnish acceptable for a 15 year old girl?
I don't believe it is a good colour for lipstick or nails.. Women in the 1950's in the black and white movies used that nail color and red lipstick.. mainly because in those days.. there was no variety of so many different and more flattering colors available then and it looks fine on a black and white screen..





Most girls and also those over 20, prefer some different colors.. Red lipstick for example is not a color that suits everyone.. some ladies look ok with red lipstick, others look like tramps.. and red nail varnish is very flamboyant.. I would go for a more subtle color.. because red would clash horribly if you ever wore any pink top and have red nail polish.. that just looks not nice as a color scheme together and it's a kind of very provoking color.. it can be worn as a nail varnish for going to a special event in the evening or for a birthday.. but otherwise I would not use bright red..Rather a deep rose color.. but not bright red...Is bright red nail varnish acceptable for a 15 year old girl?
Back in the day bright red nail polish was associated with hookers/prostitutes and that's why a lot of women didn't wear it unless they were trying to be extremely sexy and it was justforbiddenn for young girls to wear up until the last 10 years.But now a days so many things are acceptable and push to the extreme that you should compromise with your daddy on this one.

Pair it with colorful, funky, youthful rings or bracelets to better express what you're going for?
In my opinions it's fine it's just a colour!

15 year old needs to show her natural beauty or use colors to just enhance that natural beauty in a subtle way. Remember that less is best.
Of course it's acceptable, it's a fun colour. You should be able to enjoy your childhood rather than keep worrying what your dad will say.
I would not say it is unacceptable, but listen to what you father says. He probably has your best interest in heart.
I don't wear it on my fingernails, but last year when I was 14 my toe nails would always be painted red.
