How to get nail varnish to stay on longer?

i will put about 2 or 3 thin coats on then i will put a clear coat ontop, but after i day it peals off. how can i stop this from happening. How to get nail varnish to stay on longer?
One coat of a good quality one and then a top coat, buff nails before applying to get a good grip for the polish, and do it last thing at night so it sets real hard. I do this and mine lasts a week! How to get nail varnish to stay on longer?
Okay Here is how I do my nails to make the varnish stay on for longer:

1. Firstly ensure that nails are clean and tidy and take off any old polish.

2. Then take a cotton bud with nail polish remover on it and swipe it across each nail to remove any oil from you nails and help the polish to stay on longer.

3. After that apply your first coat going from the top to the bottom of your nails, and wait for that coat to dry.

4. Then apply your next coat, however this time go from side to side about three times till you nail is again coated.

5. When you second coat has dried apply your final coat of colour and go from top to bottom again.

6. When your final coat has dried you can neaten it up with some more polish if required.

7. Finally apply your clear coat from side to side once and then when that has dried, from the the bottom to the top.

Tips:

Make sure that you have good quality nail polish.

If your nail polish is quite a light colour you may have to do more than three coats.

Try not to pick or bite you nails when they have polish on them to make it last longer.

If it does peel or chip in small places just top it up to make it look neat again.

Good Luck,

apply a base coat (its just labelled as base coat or something in shops, i think), then 2 - 3 layers of a good quality varnish, a clear top coat and a nail strengthening varnish. Make sure it's not peel-off nail varnish coz I have some like that and it peels off after about 24 hrs. If the nail varshish is good quality, it should stay on.
You should probably look at getting some better quality varnish! When I paint my nails I tend to pick at it, but it still lasts for, like, a week! My sister has this stuff which is all rubbery and nasty, nail varnish for kids. You put it on and you can peel it off as soon as it's dry.

Good nail varnish can be expensive but if you use it right it's worth it!
Hi

I find that, old and cheap nail vanish is not good so I have recently chucked out a whole load of my nail vanish :-(

Get some like this http://www.chanel.com/fb/um.php?la=en-gb… or like this http://www.dior.com/pcd/International/JS… are good quality and will last long, you could also put a clear undercoat and a clear overcoat on your nails to strengthen them.

Hope this helps xxxxx
when you are putting the nail varnish on just put one coat on the the clear one on top because if you put to much of the colour on it goes to thick and it will not harden then the clear one makes it even worse. well that's what i do and it seems to stay on longer.
Start with a base coat then one or two coats of varnish then finish with a top coat. Make sure you can go barefooted for a few hours to let it dry properly if you doing your toes.
I wear mine for about a week! Very dark ones too - the trick is to get two coats on, and make sure you totally cover the tips. Then a coat of gloss on top,
you should file nails, and buff them so the paint can get a good grip on your nails.

did you try using a better quality polish? that could be it.
Buff the nails before you apply the nail varnish

Then use a clear base coat then add the colour that you want and then a top coat if this doesn't work you should try a better nail varnish
make sure the base of your nails are clean and wash off any past varnish or remover. Maybe buy a nail varnish which is designed to be chip free and see if that is more strong
