Nail varnish remover on my mums expensive dressing table!?

ok, im 16 and had to remove my nail varnish on my toenails so i used some nail varnish remover but some spilt onto the really expensive wood dressing table and i forgot about it and now theres a pale white colour stain!





How do i fix it/ make it less obvious or restore it back to normal? she knows about it by the way and i felt really bad :(Nail varnish remover on my mums expensive dressing table!?
You could go to Menard's and they have this stuff called stain its kinda like paint but its for wood. so you go pick out the exact color of the would shake up the stain can and paint over the spot. it takes like 1 hour to dry but it would look good as new. i did this yesterdayNail varnish remover on my mums expensive dressing table!?
This is not a Do-It-Yourself project.Look up ';Furniture Refinishing'; in your local book.Maybe someone there will help you out.


I'm guessing you are in the UK. Do your Highschools have refinishing classes there, or wood working? That would be a great place to ask.

p.s. just read the bit about her knowing. If she's not belted you yet, just put it down to experience and do something nice for her. The table is probably wrecked, short of giving it a complete revarnish...
The best way would be to take it to a professional furniture restorer. But you will pay for the service, it ain't cheap but it is the best option
