-Deirdre-How can i remove nail varnish off laminate flooring?
You can try prying it off - with a pin head, a letter opener, or knife blade (but be careful NOT to dig into or cut the laminate.)
If that doesn't work, you can try using fingernail polish remover (NON-ACETONE) but use it sparingly. Rub just a little at a time and see it if will take it off layer by layer without hurting the laminate. Don't douse it with the remover - dab it on with a Q-tip to control the polish remover and concentrate it right on the stain.
By the way this is not my answer it was from another question someone posted i just wanted you to see it
Hope it comes off :) xHow can i remove nail varnish off laminate flooring?
Nail varnish remover is acetone and will remove the nail varnish. The floor coating is a metallised emulsion floor polish. You should first remove the nail varnish with the acetone and be as careful as possible not to cause unneccessary damage, i.e. use small amounts and confine it to the area as much as possible. It may or may not remove the coating on the laminate, but if it does, then wash the area in a mild solution of ammonia and soapy water, again confining it locally, then purchase a laminate floor polish from any tile or laminate floor provider.
This will have to be applied by wetting a clean rag and putting a small amount of the white polish onto the rag. wipe in one direction only then leave 20 mins to dry. Then re-apply in the opposite direction and leave to dry. And once more for a perfect finish.
It actually takes longer to explain than to do!
Use an old credit card or bank card as a scraper. Hopefully this will dislodge the nail varnish without marking the laminate. Be patient, it may take a while.
