How to get nail varnish off of material?

Well i was a little bit clumsy and i got nail varnish on my bed covers last night and it was too late to do anything about it then. Luckly i was doing a top coat so it was clear but now its all dried on my bed covers hard. Will just putting it in the washing machine as usual get rid of it? or has anyone else got any ideas to get rid of it?

Thank you! How to get nail varnish off of material?
I answered this question a day or so ago. After it is dry, scrunch and fold up the fabric so it loosens its hold. The bug spray might work, but I imagine could be pretty stinky for a few washes. I recommend using dishsoap and a toothbrush with just a little bit of water, scrubbing in all directions. Then run it through the wash with no soap to rinse it.

Step1

Test a small, hidden area of the fabric to ensure it is color fast.

Step2

Saturate the polish with bug spray (I use Deep Woods Off, but anything similar will work).

Step3

Gently work the spray into the fabric using a soft toothbrush or a rag, using more bug spray as necessary. The paint base will begin to “gum” up into clumps. Keep working bug spray into the stain until all the paint is gone. Rinse well with water.

Step4

Apply stain remover to the remaining stain, as the bug spray may only remove the paint base, not the color. Work the stain remover into the stain until all the color is gone.

Step5

Wash item separately to prevent the transfer of bug spray to other clothing.
