I use dark red nail varnish, but no matter what brand I use, cheap or expensive, it always seems to rub off on papers, books, etc. As I work in a publisher's office this is a problem! Is there anything I can do to stop this happening?
A coat of clear nail varnish over the top doesn't seem to make much difference. How can I stop nail varnish rubbing off on my papers?
Is not wearing it an option? If so, go for it.How can I stop nail varnish rubbing off on my papers?
try a top coat layer then layer it again a few more times if necessary. Make sure your nails are completely dry before layering the top coat, if not the polish may smear and/or combine with the topcoat thus allowing the polish to come off.
try a varnish with a more adhesive polymer *tosylamide-formaldehyde resin*
also a tip i use is i put on a thin coat of a sparkly nail polish *one that lays flat and doesnt produce raised bumps* to allow the final color to cling onto it better. then the top coat *i normally go for marykay*
If not then you might want to try Revlon color stay enamel

i have used it before and it works great and never comes off for me *i tend to like darker colors in the winter too*
If none of those work.. sorry but maybe you should try a lighter color so if it still comes off then it wont be as noticeable. nails are a way to show your personality so try everything before changing it! :)
hope i helped a bit.
I used to have this problem.. It leaves like a pencil crayon mark... Anyway best option is to apply 2 coats of OPI Start to Finish. Basically after you apply your color wait until fully dried then apply 2 coats... this will prevent your rub off... Hope that helps =)
