I have just knocked red nail varnish onto my carpet how can I get rid of it. I have tried nail varnish remover and it had made it worse.....Please helpHow can i get rid of the nail varnish I have just spilt??
Sorry I work in the carpet industry and I can tell you quite catagorically there is no way you can get nail varnish out of carpet. Acetone is the solvent for nail polish but all you will to is to smear it around.
The idea of cutting out a square and replacing it would need to be done by a VERY skilled fitter to get anything better than a bad looking patch, because it would require an end on end join aswell as a side on side join.
If you have accidental damage on the house insurance you're covered. How can i get rid of the nail varnish I have just spilt??
Rub the carpet with a coton ball soaked in nail remover. It just works I removed a stain recently using this technique.
Ooh that sounds bad if you can't get it out with remover. Ummm, try a wet wipe! I spilled paint on the floor befor and a wet wipe got it straight off. I don't understand how though because it's used on babies bottoms. Or try white spirit, turps.
Vegatable oil
Try white spirit, try a small drop first
dab the spot with cloth soaked in nail varnish remover, keep it pressed down for a few minutes. If all else fails try pure acetone though it could make the carpet fade if used too much.
Hate to have to tell you this but you can only get a spare bit of carpet, cut the bad bit out and put the spare bit in.
Nail V remover is the right liquid. Ordinary white spirit won't work. You might thin the clour splodge down with masses of cellulose thinners. (Get from car paint shop) But I think my first answer is it.
try something solvent based. thinners things like that.use in well vented area you will be floating
dam you midalsk, you virtually stole my answer you psychic or something?
p.s. he agrees with me!
